So you just got Verizon FIOS installed and are starting to realize that the ActionTec MI424-WR modem/wifi router that they gave you is a piece of junk...(unless of course you want to go back to the stone age and use an ethernet cord!!) Don't worry, there's hope. You can disable the router features and hook up your trusty old linksys, just use the instructions below.
!!WARNING:Following these instructions will disable your Verizon TV service features, such as On-Demand.
Dries Buytaert joining his own Drupal-related start-up is the best thing that could happen for Drupal on his graduation. Joining an existing Drupal shop would have been good – Agaric would have taken him ;-) – but not as good as leaving all the great Drupal shops doing what they do and bringing fresh energy and investment to Drupal.
So WSF2008.net "suddenly" developed an issue where switching the language through the CSS dropdown would result in an infinite redirect loop and no page being displayed
The output from Charles alternated between something I can't show you (a 301 redirect I think) because the very, very aggressive shareware "you must pay" nagware shut it down (saved my life, but...) and this:
Linux - General Command Lines
Note: You MUST be at the ROOT user to make/save any changes. Linux users, your distribution will determine the location of your network config file which will need to be updated and saved in order for the changes to remain in effect after rebooting. Network cards are referred to as eth0, eth1, eth2, etc based on their position on the PCI bus.
how can i identify individual issues of the digest with specific links for each date for future reference?
On your front page - http://burbankdigest.com/ - or any listing you'll notice that if you hover over the title, it's a link. You can copy this link (or click it and copy the URL from the browser's address bar).
For instance the current latest is: http://burbankdigest.com/node/48
Many of our sites link to an Agaric Design Collective logo by the inestimable Dan Hakimzadeh (I literally don't know what that word means– he made a great logo, but then didn't fix the links to the image, so we're giving him the benefit of a toss-up).
From the directory on my computer with the image, we upload it to my home directory on Agaric's server:
scp LOGOSMALL.png ben@agaricserver:~
Now up on Agaric's server, me make a directory for it, move it into position, and rename it– in two steps!
Agaric conclusion: using the same action spaces and actions -- meant to be located both in time and on a map -- for virtual actions is not a good idea.
"we are interested in creating something that will enable our members
around the world to participate virtually in the WSF 2008 day of action
events."
Another little piece of life on the project:
