The Framingham Freecycle group is a part of the larger Freecycle Network. To the best of my knowledge all approved Freecycle groups use Yahoo, and the Framingham group would not make a move unless the rest of Freecycle decided to transition to a new platform. In response to my inquiry:

1. Do you have a server that can handle all the video action on the day-of, without a smooth build-up, just that day the servers get pounded.
2. I'm not sure about this, but Google maps might have difficulties outside of key industrialized nations, converting addresses to long/lat. Was that what you wanted to use?

What should users of WSF2008 be able to do to list themselves and their event on a map? What can be pre-filled? Do we want people to type in countries? Province-level geopolitical entities? Villages? What can the Google Maps API take, and from where? How can we try to ensure it fails gracefully, and falls back to the closest approximation of the location it can find.

Right now the plan is to do what location module lets us, but I don't know if this has been tested worldwide.

Editable Description for Taxonomy Term

I need to be able to set permissions for editing the description for the term. That is, the administrator can give edit and revision permissions for the term description.

Taxonomy terms attach to nodes, not to revisions. Naturally, you don't want to lose all your tags and categorization when a node is edited, but it's worth noting that adding or deleting terms does not create a new revision, that nodes do not keep a history of terms applied to them.

There are differing opinions, and I'm a little scared to look at the guts again after reading this issue, Revisions and taxonomy don't play well.
