Trying out Zotero

http://www.zotero.org/

I was invited to join a group. The link to join a group only works if you already have an account and are logged in. Pretty clunky, that part.

But there's a big file manager at the bottom of my firefox now. We'll see how this works. A lot of it seems duplicative of Evernote. I just want to do all this in Drupal...

As all Zotero notes can be viewed as web pages in Firefox, i expect i'll like the underlying data storage in Zotero a whole lot more than Evernote.

Agaric would like to sync Tomboy / Gnote with a Drupal site like Data.Agaric

Should be quite possible as Tomboy notes are saved in XML; not finding anyone doing it.

In Drupal, it would make sense to make Tomboy notes their own content type, so they could have their special linking, but full web content with pictures and taxonomy and all that good stuff would be separate, and could reference/include Tomboy notes.

The Ultimate Notetaking Drupal Site

  1. Title must be optional.
  2. Saving must be automatic.
  3. Must allow multiple edit tabs to be open at once.
  4. Tagging and crossreferencing preferred.

For me, it should be the one place for everything. This implies, if done with one content type, possibly having an optional date field, a private textarea...

Background:

Ideally the tabs would be vertical, and somehow in the application, but really it can just use the browser's tabs.
