Translation How-To for WSF2008
This is the translation how to document, it is still a work in progress...
In order to paint as good a picture of this process as possible, we will go through the translation process using actual examples from the website. Let's say we want to translate the 'What and Why ?' page on the site. Assuming you are logged in follow these steps:
1.
Click on the title to get to the node page. When there, click on the 'translation' tab. (If you don't see that tab, talk to your system administrator)
2.
Now you will see a list of 'Current Translations'. If there are none, there will be a 'create translation' link next to the corresponding language.
3.
In this case lets translate the page into French. So click on 'create translation' next where it says 'French' 'Not Translated' '--'
4.
You will be directed to a Submit Page. This is to become your translated version. First you can set the Translation Workflow, in this case we will choose 'translation in progress'
5.
Then translate the text. Both title and body fields. And hit submit.
Now if you navigate to that page, you can select between the two translations in this case, english and french, by using the language menu. At the bottom of the node, there will be a list of links to other translations of the document.
