Pierre George
11/5/07 5:58 PM

11/5/07 5:58 PM

11/5/07 5:58 PM
you will have them for breakfast
7:01 PM
hello
7:01 PM
ben ?
7:01 PM
it is 1pm here .... so let us focus quickly
Jason
7:02 PM
1 am, Pierre ...
Pierre George
7:02 PM
Ben
Jason
7:03 PM
Ben - are you there or has your laptop gone on skype on its own?
Pierre George
7:03 PM
yes 1am
Benjamin Melançon
7:04 PM
I am here, sorry, I was in Pierre's chat.
Pierre George a envoyé le fichier "wsf08net_todo_081107.rtf" aux membres de cette discussion
7:04 PM
Jason
7:04 PM
Is Dan there too?
Pierre George
7:05 PM
so we can go item by item - red labelled item first -
7:05 PM
red meaning to be adressed before launch
Jason
7:06 PM
I think we need to have a short exchange first about communication and what we are doing, since I feel very frustrated by working and not having responses (both online and in the task/bug queue)
Benjamin Melançon
7:08 PM
I have been responding in the issue queue as I can. Please help respond to each other and prioritize
Jason
7:10 PM
I think we are missing a roadmap and benchmark at this point, which makes it hard to understand where we are. We've made an effort to list issues and also critical ones and priorities (that's what we've been wanting to discuss together since Belem)
Pierre George
7:10 PM
well ben you have responded to 5 issue out of 20.. but let us go forward and proceed now to the table
1Vocabulary
7:10 PM
the changes in vocabulary are not visible
Jason
7:10 PM
Wait Pierre - I have one more question, since Ben is not answering
Benjamin Melançon
7:11 PM
Yes?
Jason
7:12 PM
HOW should we communicate if not by email and skype (and phone when no reply)?
and if we want to involve other people in the development from tomorrow morning, they must know that someone is on the other side they can talk to and be introduced to the issues which need to be worked on.
7:12 PM
It takes time out of your work but you should also be able to benefit from it.
7:13 PM
Also - any other person from the USSF webteam to be involved? And what happened to Shane? What about Jamie? And Josue and others?
7:13 PM
//
Benjamin Melançon
7:16 PM
Shane's not ready yet. Stephen Cataldo, whom I'd hoped would project manage as well as other stuff, hasn't been able to. MayFirst as a whole (Jamie and Daniel Kahn Gilmor) are helping us out but will mostly be on the move side of things.
7:17 PM
I haven't even heard back from Christophe's map people when I contact them. Made two issues to provide there.
Pierre George
7:17 PM
" on the move side of things" ??.
Benjamin Melançon
7:17 PM
Moving to the Italian server.
7:18 PM
We need much more concentrated communication from your side-- Dan was on with Christophe yesterday (and I eventually found out said we'd be on at 9)
7:19 PM
Requests are coming up that seem high cost / low impact
Jason
7:20 PM
You need to comment on that (high cost/low impact). It cannot be a onesided communication. And we need to learn how you work with the task lists and what you prioritize (which sometimes I don't understand).
Pierre George
7:21 PM
(of course the request list is to be commented - that is what we have expected since monday - a good two hour chat reviewing the items in cooperation)
Jason
7:21 PM
In any case, I think the best way is if we have 1 regular meeting a day at 22.30pm Paris time for 1 hour, in order to review things up to launch.
Benjamin Melançon
7:22 PM
Yes, sounds good.
Pierre George
7:22 PM
(what about this week end ?)
Jason
7:22 PM
If we can respect that, I'll be happy and will not pester you during the day... but I must be sure...
7:23 PM
About people - Christophe has spoken with his contact(s) and was waiting for input on your side after chat with Dan
7:23 PM
I have a few here in Florence, but I think they can be more useful in a second stage post-launch
7:24 PM
There is a Brasilian programmer (D.Martins) who can be involved as well (and he might have other collegues)
Benjamin Melançon
7:26 PM
Yes, we're open. That's been a lot of the point of trying to do things openly, with the notes on our site and especially with the issue queue.
7:26 PM
I think we have the functionality for launch, really, but there's so much great stuff that can be done.
Pierre George
7:27 PM
lNow folks having said that - let us cover the red points and assess the situaiton
7:28 PM
red point by red point - and get even on each
7:28 PM
what needs to be done - who can do it relevantly - when can it be done
7:28 PM
ok?
Jason
7:30 PM
Ben - can you speak with Christophe tomorrow morning so you can establish contact with his guys?
7:31 PM
After that, we can start. I won't be able to stay long, but we should go through the URGENT matters.
Benjamin Melançon
7:31 PM
OK-- I'd planned to do Skype all day tomorrow to work out details.
7:31 PM
I'm looking for the red in the document
7:31 PM
haven't found it yet!
Jason
7:31 PM
Where is red, Pierre?
Pierre George
7:32 PM
do you see red jason ? do anyone of you see the underlined colors ?
7:32 PM
( that is a doom on this project ... windows incomunicability ..)
7:32 PM
??
7:32 PM
i will list them
7:33 PM
vocabulary
7:33 PM
country maps
7:33 PM

7:39 PM
42 clarify the create content menu you added monday
7:39 PM
that is it for now
7:39 PM
//
7:40 PM
so let us take them rapidly one by one
7:40 PM
vocabulary
7:41 PM
how come the are still groups and action sets.. around
7:41 PM
what needs to be done tofinalize the move ?
7:42 PM
i went to the vocabiluary pages indicated by ben - but groups still remain in the menu
7:42 PM
//
Benjamin Melançon
7:42 PM
The way it works is it's actually a matter of translation. I've translated them in some places and given you all the link to search for more. If people are ready for serious hunting there's a module with a translate-on-the-page interface that we installed.
7:43 PM
I just fixed the dropdown menu bug with the "(groups)" today
7:43 PM
http://dru pal.org/no de/189699
7:43 PM
contributed the patch to the project. Haven't gone and actually translated them yet.
Pierre George
7:45 PM
i am a bit lost -and do not know what to do apart from filling the vocabiliruat translation you indicated
dan are you an expert hunter ? - f i see a word that should not be there can i tell you
Benjamin Melançon
7:45 PM
No. If you want to do it, we will enable the module that lets the translations be done on-screen.
Pierre George
7:47 PM
also when i click on the " create content " drop down i still see groups all over
// well enable it and give some indications ... but i am not sure this will be efficent
Jason
7:47 PM
Yes, enable that module. I have set up a translation group and if you/Dan can give some indications, we can go ahead with translations.
Pierre George
7:47 PM
"translations be done on-screen." is this just for menu words or for the content of the pages
Dan Hakimzadeh
7:47 PM
sounds good
7:48 PM
My step-by-step should cover the basics
Jason
7:48 PM
translatio ns@wsf2008 .net (it's a mailinglist with some people from Babels being added soon)
Pierre George
7:48 PM
dan did you check the case of bettina -
Jason
7:48 PM
sorry - translatio n@wsf2008. net (singular)
Benjamin Melançon
7:48 PM
Great.
Pierre George
7:49 PM
i appointed her as translator - does she have the permission to translate ?
7:49 PM
she says she is denied ... pls check
Dan Hakimzadeh
7:49 PM
I'll make sure she has permission
Pierre George
7:49 PM
i am not clear about the diference between
Benjamin Melançon
7:49 PM
Pierre, are you sure of her username?
Pierre George
7:49 PM
there is only one bettina in that site ....
7:49 PM
"search users "
Benjamin Melançon
7:50 PM
just making sure, I haven't checked yet
Pierre George
7:50 PM
i am not clear about the diference between
7:50 PM
1 the translation tab that i can acess in many pages
7:50 PM
and
7:50 PM
2 the on page translatio that you want to enable
Benjamin Melançon
7:51 PM
In Drupal this is called translation versus localization
7:51 PM
it's Content versus User Interfaces
Pierre George
7:51 PM
ok so we need both
Benjamin Melançon
7:52 PM
The basic search interface for "localization" translatable strings is This is stuff anyone can do. The basic search interface is http://dev .wsf2008.n et/eng/adm in/setting s/locale
Pierre George
7:52 PM
any guidance on that ? durpal nodes
7:53 PM
any guidance on that ? durpal nodes where to find info ?
Benjamin Melançon
7:53 PM
the i18n documentation I sent earlier
Pierre George
7:53 PM
the i18n documentation ??
Jason
7:53 PM
ok - what if we need to add languages. Eg. Spanish is missing!
Benjamin Melançon
7:54 PM
Yes, they just have to be uploaded
7:54 PM
Spanish is missing because I wanted to check which kind
Pierre George
7:54 PM
which kind of spanish ?
Benjamin Melançon
7:55 PM
I think I decided on my own to go with Latin America
Pierre George
7:55 PM
good
Benjamin Melançon
7:55 PM
and also do Catalan
Pierre George
7:55 PM
clever
Benjamin Melançon
7:55 PM
anyhow, all the files have been acquired, and are in DAN's todo stack to upload
Pierre George
7:55 PM
better
the i18n documentation ??
7:56 PM
that is urdu to me
Benjamin Melançon
7:56 PM
I'd sent the link earlier
7:56 PM
i18n is a cutesy "Internationalization"
7:57 PM
no, I don't quite see it either. Looking for teh link again
7:58 PM
http://dru pal.org/tr anslators - broad overview, how it works
Pierre George
7:59 PM
- ok let us start with this - dan is the person interfacing with the translation group ?
Benjamin Melançon
7:59 PM
Sounds good to me
8:00 PM
On the 42 points: we really need you, Jason, and Christophe to be together on this
Jason
8:00 PM
ok - so decision: activate module, send a few indications so we can get working on it; add the necessary other languages (hindi, swahili, russian, arabic)
8:01 PM
(and urdu, Pierre?!)
Pierre George
8:01 PM
spanish before urdu ( that is for fahim)
8:02 PM
not 42point ben 20 red ones - drafted with jason
8:02 PM
let us proceed to coutn ry maps
Benjamin Melançon
8:02 PM
oh, I lost count
8:02 PM
OK, I'm trying to recall-- but I think I gave a heads up about Drupal core not being translated into hindi OR russian as of several weeks ago
8:03 PM
But that actually doesn't have much impact on us.
8:04 PM
Country maps work, as well as they're going to. Each country needs latitude and longitude to show a map, which can be added at the "Edit term" link you can (probably) depending on permissions see at the right of each place page
Jason
8:04 PM
no - the important thing is that the char set is available
Benjamin Melançon
8:04 PM
err, well could until Dan disabled sidebars
8:04 PM
Jason: yes. In modern browsers.
Pierre George
8:05 PM
can we rewind ??
8:05 PM
who is going to edit the term ?
Benjamin Melançon
8:05 PM
Rewind you have-- here's that localization link: http://dru pal.org/ha ndbook/mod ules/local e
8:06 PM
oh, no one. It queries a service automatically. From now on.
8:06 PM
(no one will need to, that is, for the most part)
Pierre George
8:06 PM
sorry i am lost
Rewind you have-- here's that localization link: http://dru pal.org/ha ndbook/mod ules/local e
8:07 PM
are you talking about translation ?
Benjamin Melançon
8:07 PM
I rewound a bit farther than you wanted, but I just found the link.
8:07 PM
yes.
Pierre George
8:07 PM
ok
Benjamin Melançon
8:07 PM
of the user interface.
8:07 PM
Most important: are all 20 'red' requests on the issue queue and marked critical?
Pierre George
8:08 PM
not all on te issue queue and not marked critical
8:09 PM
well update the issue queue... easier if there is feedback on the issues posted ...
8:09 PM
critical one of course ...
8:10 PM
country maps ?? are we finished ?? who edit the country list on thehome page
Benjamin Melançon
8:10 PM
It really helps for an additonal person or two to put their view on each issue, and for issues to stay one part.
8:10 PM
Dan edits the country list on the home page.
8:11 PM
I've been meaning to tell him to put the ñ in España
Pierre George
8:11 PM
i created kazakhstan today and did not see it appear on the home page .... so when will it appear ?
8:11 PM
it is a manual process understand ?
Benjamin Melançon
8:11 PM
when you ask Dan to put it there. I offered an automatic list...
8:11 PM
Yes, for now.
Pierre George
8:12 PM
so whe the site is launched we review the tag list and advise...?
Jason
8:13 PM
Country pages / maps: Italia shows Africa and is centered on Congo. No Italy in sight...
same for Spain...
Benjamin Melançon
8:13 PM
yup, that's the latitude and longitude that has to be edited
Jason
8:14 PM
By whom and where?
Pierre George
8:15 PM
also the list of action onthe country page is not by clickable title ? wiht a search ?
8:15 PM
what will the country page look like at launch ?
8:16 PM
??
Benjamin Melançon
8:17 PM
the map, actions listed next to it by date
8:17 PM
then news, discussion, images, etc. in columns
8:18 PM
and finally (since it's already been covered in part by chronological action list, and it takes up a lot of space) the calendar
Pierre George
8:18 PM
when you meand listed - just the title - looks like a list - each title clickable - or sucesssion of full pages which will favor the first one s
Benjamin Melançon
8:18 PM
by list I mean the title and minimal other info.
Pierre George
8:19 PM
all on one line ?
Benjamin Melançon
8:19 PM
um, a list of single-lines, yes
Jason
8:20 PM
I think the best thing is if you create one model country and we comment on that.
8:21 PM
Let's go ahead - I have 10 min, I don't know about you Pierre...
8:21 PM
(but we NEED to have a country page to present as example to people ASAP - tomorrow...)
Pierre George
8:21 PM
ok we wil reveiw the list tomorrow and saturday etc..on our daily chat anyway
8:22 PM
editing action space - //
Benjamin Melançon
8:22 PM
ok on the country page
Pierre George
8:22 PM
editing action space - //this has been taken out or hidden somewhere
Jason
8:23 PM
Before we go to next item, can I first ask Dan a question?
Pierre George
8:23 PM
we said we do not want people to create action spaces withtou action - but we do want them to acces editing th
Dan Hakimzadeh
8:23 PM
sure
Jason
8:24 PM
(while you write down your comment Pierre - I'll be short)
8:25 PM
Home page: buttons are better looking now, but the text is almost invisible. I think we need black or dark brown;
Dan Hakimzadeh
8:25 PM
Yes. Ben and I have also discussed this. I will be making them dark brown sometime tonight
Benjamin Melançon
8:26 PM
and bold
Dan Hakimzadeh
8:26 PM
just make sure to hit SHIFT+RELOAD every now and again to ensure you get all the changes
8:26 PM
yes, and bold. a
Jason
8:27 PM
Also - have you looked again at: http://www .climatech allenge.or g ? The right side buttons is what I was thinking of. There is also too much space between Latest actions added and News. And I think some form of frame is needed or the text just floats...
Benjamin Melançon
8:29 PM
I argued against the frame, but we're not happy with that look yet either.
8:30 PM
I do think it's better without the box, with the more linked reined in a little more
Jason
8:30 PM
These are all small adjustments but make the page look much neater. Or you might have other ideas, but we need something clean and easy to read (a light gray background?). Finally, I would make the country list with a smaller character so we can at least get the titles of the Who, What, How texts on the opening screen.
Benjamin Melançon
8:30 PM
Should we skip the "Choose your country" text also?
8:31 PM
let the list speak for itself?
Pierre George
8:31 PM
back to editing my action space ......
8:31 PM
i lost all i had written
8:32 PM
so now we cannot edit the action space profile - or where is it - we need this back in a logical place
8:33 PM
editing the action space profile for openness for single /mulitple action and probably other options -and connections lateron
8:33 PM
you took out the creation of action space which is what we asked for - and the edition of exisitng one went with it
8:33 PM
//
8:34 PM
am i making myself understood ?
8:35 PM
one week ago we could create actions spaces without action ....
8:35 PM
now we cant.. which is good
8:35 PM
but we cannot edit the profil of the actions spaces we created by presenting action ... which is absurd
8:36 PM
//
8:37 PM
hallo?
8:37 PM
it seems the color of the button is a more sexy issue...
8:38 PM
anyone here ?
Dan Hakimzadeh
8:38 PM
yes
8:39 PM
sorry, just trying to fix an issue with the site
Pierre George
8:39 PM
that is ALSO what i am trying to do ....
Dan Hakimzadeh
8:41 PM
you're right about the button
8:41 PM
although some monitors may not display the right color and therefor the text may be invisible
Jason
8:43 PM
Guys, I have to go to bed or won't wake up tomorrow morning. I'll be very busy tomorrow, but able to read email. I'm sending a first message to the translation group so we can start working, but need to have assistance especially at the beginning.
Pierre George
8:43 PM
folks we have semi covered 2 issues there are 20
Benjamin Melançon
8:43 PM
OK, make sure we're on that list
Pierre George
8:44 PM
ah ben you came back !
Dan Hakimzadeh
8:44 PM
good night Jason
Pierre George
8:45 PM
jason before you go...
8:45 PM
we have spend 15mn on the button ... so give me 2
Jason
8:45 PM
sure - go ahead
Pierre George
8:46 PM
i suggest ben and dan go over the 18 odd issue and write something - in feedback to the question or request so we can boost our tomorrow chat
Dan Hakimzadeh
8:47 PM
I have already started addressing some issues
Pierre George
8:47 PM
i mean a written answer with links to relevant pages ... for each of the red pointed issue
and also you can point out the high cost low impact issue in the list
8:48 PM
may we count on this for when we get up ?
Benjamin Melançon
8:48 PM
No-- if it's not on the issue queue and rated critical, we can't go looking around more i'm afraid.
Pierre George
8:49 PM
but if it is rated critical you will do it then ?
Benjamin Melançon
8:50 PM
We will attempt to understand what you are asking, and do it if possible.
Dan Hakimzadeh
8:51 PM
I have to leave shortly... I will be back in about 10 minutes or so
Pierre George
8:52 PM
can you rewind on the last item i explained .. about editing action space - ?
8:52 PM
can you answer?
8:52 PM
one week ago we could create actions spaces without action ....
[02:35:18] Pierre George a dit : now we cant.. which is good
[02:35:49] Pierre George a dit : but we cannot edit the profil of the actions spaces we created by presenting action ... which is absurd
Benjamin Melançon
8:53 PM
You can edit
Pierre George
8:53 PM
where ?
Benjamin Melançon
8:53 PM
You do or do not want to be able to edit
Pierre George
8:53 PM
we do!
8:53 PM
but did not find where anymore
Benjamin Melançon
8:54 PM
The action has a link to the action space
8:54 PM
if nowhere else at the bottom "breadcrumb"
8:54 PM
click on that page and teh action space can be edited
Pierre George
8:56 PM
ok then .... let us see
8:56 PM

8:57 PM
chinese sorry
8:57 PM
so we can concentrate on them first
Benjamin Melançon
8:57 PM
afghanistan bug?
Pierre George
8:58 PM
this is when you locate an action - it always appear wiht country afghanistan wherever you are - and disappears when you reedti the action
8:58 PM
next?
Benjamin Melançon
8:58 PM
i think i fixed that a while ago
8:58 PM
positive, in fact
Pierre George
8:59 PM
great
Jason
9:00 PM
I have a question - I just tried to reedit an action and it won't let me save if I don't specify the "Action status" which is totally new -- and no choice in the dropdown so I'm stuck
Pierre George
9:01 PM
next point ben - can you pick another issue in the list ?
Benjamin Melançon
9:02 PM
[01:35:05] Pierre George a dit : 12 unssubcribe of user by other users
Pierre George
9:03 PM
well that is somthing we saw in belem - it seemd a lay participants in an action sapce could unsubscribe other
Benjamin Melançon
9:03 PM
Nope.
9:03 PM
Privileged users, but not users on the same level.
Pierre George
9:04 PM
we think we had change user to be non priviledaged .. but ok we will retest.....
9:04 PM
next item ...
Jason

9:11 PM

Benjamin Melançon
9:12 PM
[01:37:05] Pierre George a dit : 24 polish location dialogue
Pierre George

well this is just a proposal to explain that the marker is changed when you clcik a second time ....
Benjamin Melançon
9:13 PM
oh... Polish the language I was thinking... it confused me
9:13 PM
ok, that's the text you provided
9:14 PM
we're on that.
Pierre George
9:14 PM
yes
9:14 PM
i have triend to make a text for people that never used google maps
9:14 PM
there will be plenty
9:15 PM
of course the text can be modified ....
anohter issue pls ....
Benjamin Melançon
9:15 PM
You pick one!
Pierre George
9:15 PM
a simple one 9
9:16 PM
9 single action mutliple action in an action space
9:16 PM
this is an option to be decided in the editing of the action space
9:16 PM
by its owner
Benjamin Melançon
9:17 PM
The ability to limit an action space to only one action? This is one I rate as a fair amount of work for low return.
9:17 PM
But...
Pierre George
9:19 PM
i am trying to think of people that discover they are managing an action space ...and want to keep it channeled in their own way .. start narrow and open up afterwards when they feel like it
9:20 PM
i have tried to convey the idea that if we open too much the action space might end up a maze of contents which action minded people may find not focused enough
9:21 PM
the problem is that you say it is high cost .. the return is risk to have closed groups or maze groups
9:21 PM
we have each our view on this wiht different background ...
Benjamin Melançon
9:22 PM
I'm rating this as A) a good problem to have and a problem to deal with when it exists
Pierre George
9:23 PM
the problem is if it it exists it might be too late to correct it because the owner of the gorup cannot erase the contents ..
Benjamin Melançon
9:24 PM
We (site admins) can create another Action space and move the offending action to it.
Pierre George
9:24 PM
well let us see....
9:25 PM
let us go to 17 styles for various content types
9:25 PM
so people understand what is the content they loolk at - it may be jsut the color of the title ....
Benjamin Melançon
9:26 PM
Yes---
Pierre George
9:26 PM
so how do you rate this ...
Benjamin Melançon
9:26 PM
if y'all want to suggest an icon, a box border color, the color of the title (not so recommended, that should be somewhat consistent)
9:26 PM
we'll do it in no time
9:27 PM
we're a little hesitant to just do it, and have it decided that icons instead of boxes or colors or ... was wanted instead.
Pierre George
9:27 PM
well just do it then ....
9:28 PM
it is so hard to comunicate //;-)
9:29 PM
btw i have suggested in item 29 a listview of group contents - a compact view one line per content with some figures ( number of comments )
9:29 PM
when the action space grows big - this might keep reasonnably compact to browse
Benjamin Melançon
9:29 PM
yes, definitely
Pierre George
9:29 PM
it is not necessary for launch... that is why i left it aside
Benjamin Melançon
9:29 PM
in the sidebar, this is TODO for launch.
Pierre George
9:30 PM
what do you call sidebar ?
9:30 PM
your sidebar ?
Benjamin Melançon
9:30 PM
well, it's sort of important. But i think we agree exactly on this
9:30 PM
right-side column on action spaces
Pierre George
9:30 PM
the one you wanted to empty on monday ?
Benjamin Melançon
9:31 PM
Yup! Not very consistent, I know...
Pierre George
9:31 PM
remmeber when we talked about putting info menu on the right and operation menu on the left?
9:31 PM
we got perplexed and still are
9:32 PM
and some sketcj of yours in a simple table would help a lot
9:33 PM
because you added that "create content " driop down on the left side ( with " groups " in it and not action space "
Benjamin Melançon
9:33 PM
i'll see if Dan can do that. You can look at lots of sites and see sidebars though!
Pierre George
9:33 PM
i am not sure i understand - side bar = right side column
9:33 PM
where you put curently my network ?
9:35 PM
pls make a sketch ....of what the screen would look like (in four days from now ...)
9:35 PM
we tried to make one in belem and you did not like it
9:35 PM
so now your turn
9:36 PM
this is item 7
Benjamin Melançon
9:36 PM
Yes, where "my network" is
9:37 PM
except that is going away
9:37 PM
from that spot
Pierre George
9:37 PM
we suggest to call this "my contacts"
Benjamin Melançon
9:37 PM
so only action spaces will have a right-side column
9:37 PM
ok
Pierre George
9:38 PM
ok - i like the idea of having this menu appear which means we are "inside" an action space
9:39 PM
that is why i donot get the interest of the create content dorp down you added on monday
9:39 PM
on the left side
9:39 PM
wherer you mix general navigation and "inside group" stuff
9:40 PM
//
9:42 PM
item 7
action
9:42 PM
aciton spaces
9:42 PM
orgnaisation
9:42 PM
the views are decribed in drupal issues - did you look at them
Benjamin Melançon
9:42 PM
yes
Pierre George
9:42 PM
what do you think?
Benjamin Melançon
9:42 PM
there are too many menu-related issues
9:43 PM
that seem to call for too many menus
9:43 PM
we're very open of course to how the links should be arranged
Pierre George
9:43 PM
i got inspired by what is avaialbe in the groups list view
9:43 PM
9:44 PM
you click on the umber of subcrberes and get their list ...
Benjamin Melançon
9:44 PM
but despite that it did not address action space content versus general content (creating the action for the first time etc)
Pierre George
9:45 PM
i do not get what you say
9:46 PM
well will go to sleep for good - but pls make proposal of what you can do for launch and for afterwards....
9:47 PM
on those three displays action action sapces and orgnaisations
Benjamin Melançon
9:47 PM
?
Benjamin Melançon added christophe aguiton to this chat
9:48 PM
Pierre George
9:48 PM
i say what is displauyed when i click on actions action spaces organisaiton in the navigation menu
9:48 PM
the tree main display of the main type of objects ( apart users)
Benjamin Melançon
9:49 PM
those are key objects, sure, but where in the navigation menu do you want to click on them?
Pierre George
9:49 PM
today in the navigatyion menu we have "groups"
Benjamin Melançon
9:50 PM
We click on countries, etc.
9:50 PM
ok
9:50 PM
yes
Pierre George
9:50 PM
we can have in the same spirit adn in that order
Benjamin Melançon
9:50 PM
but we don't want to emphasize this anymore
Pierre George
9:50 PM
actions
9:50 PM
action spaces
9:50 PM
organisations
9:50 PM
we have arrived at some equilibrium on action spaces - this is a very important object becase it is where there is life
9:51 PM
so action first then action spaces then organisations
9:52 PM
see the proposals in item 7 and make a counter proposal - but we need to display to the user the objects that exist in that site .....
9:53 PM
and that are meaningful
9:53 PM
actions - actions spaces- organisations
9:55 PM
bye for now .....resume tomorrow at 17pm your time ?
9:56 PM
"but we don't want to emphasize this anymore" do not undestand what you mean .....
Benjamin Melançon
9:58 PM
that is not how we want people viewing the site-- by action space
9:58 PM
we want people viewing the site by region
9:58 PM
and by theme etc.
Pierre George
9:59 PM
but they wll also look at action space because this is how info will arrive to them
9:59 PM
through notfication discussion
10:00 PM
and action spaces are closely realted things with a common focus in general
10:01 PM
iagree with the rest - the tagging systems looks bery pwoerful ( mutlilinguism of tags being a problem ) but the actions spaces are an importatn dimention to the site ....
10:02 PM
they are collective sapces
10:03 PM
we need to talk over some drink of this ... definitely
10:03 PM
bye
Benjamin Melançon
10:03 PM
Sleep well.
Pierre George
10:03 PM
three hours
Benjamin Melançon
10:04 PM
yikes.
Pierre George
10:04 PM
that is why start at 22pm our timle would be better...
10:05 PM
see you tommoroow at 17pm or a little later then ...
