You can also edit the weight in the {system} table directly (and see what other modules have been set to, sorting by the weight column in phpMyAdmin).

But what about a way to set the weight of your module inside your module with code? Of course there is:

I'm thinking about something along the lines of ... a message and discussion board anchored by a community of bloggers and feature articles. Of course we can do it. Of course I would learn immensely from doing such an initial project. But is that an afternoon of work or a four month project?

Functionality? An afternoon.

Really nice functionality? A week.

Good looking? Depends on Dan's tempo of inspiration, but if you provide the
design then he can turn it into a Drupal theme in a week.

1. Do you have a server that can handle all the video action on the day-of, without a smooth build-up, just that day the servers get pounded.
2. I'm not sure about this, but Google maps might have difficulties outside of key industrialized nations, converting addresses to long/lat. Was that what you wanted to use?

dpr – Shortcut for dprint_r, a debug version of the PHP print_r function.

Is it possible to create a unique front page template using phptemplate? Jeff eaten describes how yes, it is possible with custom code in template.php.

And there's no mention of built-in option for a special front page template in PHPtemplate section of Drupal's theming handbook.

But I still think it's possible...

Resolution

In Drupal 5, page-front.tpl.php does take over for the front page, overriding page.tpl.php.
