I'm so happy with our relationship -- you don't even have any baggage by creating unecessary database tables. You are one of the most useful modules to grace my Drupal installations. Edit term, I love you!

Will money screw up the open source volunteer ethos?

Yes, I'm worried about what happens when you inject money where things were volunteer.

I hope that instead funding particular improvements will support, and indirectly reward, the volunteer code and patches that are central to open source free software development.

Community-Managed Categories Proposal as Submitted

[Proposal to Google Summer of Code 2007 with the Drupal project as originally submitted. Now re-titled Community-Managed Taxonomy to get more with the Drupal way.]

To introduce several features to enable communities of users to create and manage categories directly. Users will be able to vote to combine terms or to move terms under one another in a hierarchy.
