The best way to do it is to download the driver. then run this at the command line....

sh ati-driver-installer-8.40.4-x86.x86_64.run

assuming that, you're in the directory that the driver file is in, in this case ati-driver-installer-8.40.4-x86.x86_64.run. got it? good...
