Online Auctions

On-line auctions, especially as fundraising auctions for nonprofit organizations, are one of Agaric Design Collective's unique strengths.

Our auctions can be stand-alone or integrate fully with an Agaric-designed site, because they are based on the e-commerce platform of the open source Drupal content management system.

Features beyond the standard online auction e-commerce module include outbid notifications by e-mail, an enforced minimum bid increment which is pre-filled in for instant bidding, and "my bids" tracking lists for users, indicating whether they are the high bidder or not on the items for which they have bid.

Nonprofit fundraising features include setting all auctions to a single end date and export lists of all winning bidders by user or item.

You may download our enhanced auction modules, but understand they have not been cleaned up for plug-and-play drop-in use. Agaric's Zing Auction Module should be a proper contributed Drupal module by this fall when it is refined and used again for its original beneficiary, the Amazing Things Arts Center in Framingham, Mass.

Paid use or sponsorship by another group would of course get the auction module fit for the downloading public even faster. Agaric Design will also try to polish and contribute back those of our modifications that are requested by the Drupal-using community.

Agaric Design Collective is available for hire for further custom work and implementation of non-profit fundraiser auctions and other auctions. Agaric-run auctions are more cost-effective than the national online services that specialize in fundraising auctions.
