Add a replacement pattern token for a Views field rewrite results

Views fields offer the opportunity to "Rewrite results: Rewrite the output of this field". The option further specifies "Enable to override the output of this field with custom text or replacement tokens." It then provides a textarea with the instruction: "The text to display for this field. You may include HTML. You may enter data from this view as per the 'Replacement patterns' below." The replacement patterns, in turn, have the introduction: "The following tokens are available for this field.

Canonical use for token is mailmerge.

User mail is hardcoded system in Drupal 6, it doesn't use token.

Pathauto. Everyone is using it, or should be.

Immediately we proposed it for inclusion in Drupal core. More than three years ago.

Really, it wasn't good enough for core.

Organization: An all-you-can-eat buffet of crazy-- too many modules made tokens available, with all different names, and no categorization.

Code reuse: Date formats are hell.

Link twitter status messages to the twitter account display of these status messages.

Resolution

Edit the view Twitter module created at admin/build/views/edit/tweets. For Agaric's purposes in this case we chose to edit the default settings for the view (the "Tweets" display).

Add the fields:

Twitter: Login name Login name
Twitter: Status ID Status ID

For both, select "exclude from display".
