Skype malfunction? Non-sensical claim of auto-recharge suspended

This was sent to the e-mail address for and appears to be for my personal account. I have the same $5.98 credit that i've had for months.

Auto-recharge suspended
Unfortunately, we were unable to Auto-recharge your Skype Credit balance as you have reached your monthly spending limit. For fraud prevention purposes we impose restrictions on the amount of Skype Credit you can purchase. We apologize if this has caused you any inconvenience.

Find out more about monthly limits.
What can you do about it?
You can change your Auto-recharge payment details to an alternative payment method such as PayPal.

See the different ways to pay for Skype products.

On our business account, we have a $4.10 credit (the formerly 1.95 Euro it charged for our subscription). That's what we get charged each month. Monthly limits are $700 and up. And we pay through a method which has no monthly limit at all. Yet it says this right on our account:

Auto-recharge Suspended Disable
We are unable to Auto-recharge your Skype Credit balance as you have reached your monthly purchase limit using payment methods such as credit cards and PayPal. Auto-recharge has not been cancelled and will resume at the beginning of the next calendar month. You can top up your balance using alternative purchase methods.

I understand your concerns regarding purchase limits.
17:47:06 i3iviivi
regardless of what the problem is, that error message is incorrect, and it would be good if it were fixed
17:47:38 i3iviivi
No, i have not purchased *anything* this month. The problem is not purchase limits. That error is incorrect.
17:48:35 i3iviivi
Could you please have an engineer figure out exactly why my credit card is not being autocharged? This is very frustrating to have this much trouble trying to pay.

It may take me 2-3 minutes to research this for you. Can you hold while I look into this for you?
