Asking for help on maps

To http://www.greenmap.org/

Dear Green Maps,

I'm with a group working on the World Social Forum 2008 global call for
local action web site, and we were wondering if you had any advice /
resources / ability to help available on the mapping side.

For instance, we haven't figured out yet how to show all nodes even when at
a distant zoom. The other thing we need to do is throw in short
descriptions etc. in that pop-up, but haven't gotten to trying that yet.

So if your approach is written up anywhere, that would be great, if you have
time to offer any advice, also great-- and we'd also like to list
GreenMap.org as a resource for the people and groups who get involved with
WSF2008.net.

We're all in Drupal, gmap module, but considering ditching the location
module for something that can make cities and regions part of the
presentation scheme (I've started doing this as an extension to taxonomy).

Any words of encouragement or warning at all appreciated!

Thanks,

ben

i am helpless about the difficulties Ben encounters with map .. :-(

I understand that the google map pop up content should be reflected in the "header" form or "presetnation" from , or better that some fields of the "build up group header " or "presetnation" form should be the reference for the google pop up edition

also that a manual handling of the action location edition can be given to user ( as a google map sequence embedded in the "action build up or action present operation) and at the end of the manual sequence the coordinates of the graphically/manually edited action location gets edited in the "build up group header" form or the "presentation" from
