What is the Science Collaboration Framework (Presenting SCF)

(Note: This is not an official Science Collaboration Framework document, this is my own draft document for explaining the project, especially to people familiar with Drupal.)

  1. Key Points
    1. SCF is Drupal.
      • All code fits in an installation profile, which need not be used to install Drupal but must be enabled to be used.
      • Our goal is to contribute all new code back to the community and have it hosted on Drupal.org. we are always looking for co-maintainers.

The SCF project can benefit Drupal greatly. It is bringing Drupal to scientists, and we get to use scientific use cases and science funding to bring the Semantic Web to Drupal.
