Theming views to use imagecache

Agaric needs to make a view, such as a preview of an image gallery for the front page of a site, use imagecache to generate cropped and resized thumbnails.

Resolution

<?php
 print_r($node);
?>

stdClass Object
(
[nid] => 6
[files_filepath] => sites/anjaliforberpratt.com/files/images/137901886019f.jpg
)

So it's saying, I am an object, I am called node, this is what I am made up of.

We want it to print our node, the entire node.

Agaric wants to disable comments for nodes, en masse, retroactively

disable comments for all nodes of a content type (meaning existing nodes)

This guy wanted it for Drupal 4.6...
http://drupal.org/node/161880

These folks only wanted it for specific nodes, which of course is built in:
http://drupal.org/node/87495

Long story short, there does not seem to be much demand for the ability to retroactively disable comments for a large number of nodes.

Using audio module. A text documentary. To be continued...

Thanks for writing. I tried the upload again and this time the size was ok but it gave other errors. One was that the sample rate has to be 11, 22 or 44 and I believe my file is 4,400. I'm not sure exactly what sample rate is, but I know it is something that can be altered in my sound editor. The other error had something to do with "ID3" and I have no idea what that is. Also, there were requested fields for "title" and "artist" that I tried to fill in but I think they are meta data driven not just where you put anything in you want to call it. . Or so it seems.

Automatically title nodes

Agaric's been searching:

drupal replace node title
drupal replace title with calculated field
use CCK fields for headline text

http://drupal.org/project/auto_nodetitle

(It is not called Node Auto Title, NAT is actually Node Auto Term and is a wonderful, but entirely different, module. That didn't stop me from instructing my co-collective member to download it...)

Potential Users of Community-managed Categories

People and places that need Community-Managed Taxonomy, even if they don't know it yet, with which we should follow up when Agaric has a working module:

Modules with which to integrate CMT

First, the module-to-be from fellow Summer of Coder Matthias Hutterer, Taxonomy manager.

Both of us may want to integrate with one or more of these existing modules:

  • Above all: term_merge
  • taxonomy_batch_operations
  • Printer-Friendly View and CCK

    This page describes a way to make an end run around the printer-friendly module and just load a new stylesheet for making pages look good for printing:

    Printer-Friendly View and CCK?
    http://drupal.org/node/94098

    But surely there is a righter, more Drupal way of doing this?

    If we can find one, we'll post about it back to the issue queue also.. somewhere else

    Installing ClamAV: NOT YET SUCCESSFUL

    Agaric Design Collective is installing CiviCRM's CiviMail for a client, which requires AMaViS, which optionally asks for ClamAV. We will be taking optional at its word right now, since it has dependencies for OpenSSL tools that are more recent than what the rest of this CentOS installation use.
