Just type that into the address bar, and see way more options than you've ever wanted to see with no documentation whatsoever.

In this case, it seems that setting tabs minimum width (something tabs.minwidth something, just put tabs in about:config's search bar at the top and look through the options) should do the trick of bringing back Firefox's squooshing of tabs behavior, which endeared itself to those like myself who have about 40 tabs open.
