Ask Agaric: Drupal for Artists

This question came from a fellow couchsurfer.

We are dedicating our selfs almost all summer to learn drupal and make a website for artists.

There are some basic things we still don't understand:
At the moment we are specificaly trying to make our content searchable with a combination of taxonomy terms. It should be possible to combine taxonomy terms in a search query to optain the intersection of different terms. For example search on location and art type, giving you all nodes related to that location and arttype. Or -other example- you want to combine art type, festival and country (which is parent to location)... Until now I have found nothing in Drupal that does this though I feel this should not be sooo complicated. you should be able to build links to nodes like taxonomy/term/1,3+5. Do you have any idea?

thanks already and have a nice day!

p.s - we use drupal 6.2

I thought exactly that description was supposed to work.

It's absolutely possible, somehow.

Investigation in progress...
