Agaric guide to Drupal image gallery sites
Image_importworks even though the project page says it doesn't: it is now a contributed module packaged with image.- You should create your image gallery category before doing a big import.
- And if you're going to be importing lots of pictures, you probably want "promote to front page" turned off by default for images.
Don't promote images to front page:
/admin/content/types/image
...
So to fix this after the fact, get all those pictures off your front page:
I3IVIIVI: so to fix in retrospect, go here:
I3IVIIVI: http://example.com/admin/content/node
I3IVIIVI: select all the pics
I3IVIIVI: or click the select all box, which is the one at the top to the left of Title, and deselect non-image posts
I3IVIIVI: Or even filter by type image
prino1: k
prino1: done
I3IVIIVI: and when they're all selected, choose "Demote from front page" from the drop-down selector, and click update
prino1: wow
That's the power of Drupal, folks, and the customer service of Agaric Design. We didn't include all the parts where we called this our friend names, but then he was getting our free service.
If you have multiple pages definitely use the filter. May have to do it more than once for additional pages anyway?
